Relationship work shaped by depth, experience
and respect for what matters

I have spent decades working with people, relationships, families, leaders and systems through

periods of challenge, transition, rebuilding and conscious change.

My work has taken me across industries, cultures and countries, supporting people in understanding

what has shaped them, what is occurring within their lives and relationships, and what may now

need to change.

Katalyst Couples grew from the recognition that relationship difficulties rarely belong to only one

person or one moment.

What happens between two people may be influenced by personal history, family patterns, trauma,

identity, stress, health, responsibility, success, loss, perception and the ways each person has learned

to protect themselves.

At the same time, understanding the past is not enough.

The work must eventually return to the relationship: to the choices being made, the impact being

created, the responsibility each person carries and the relationship both people are

consciously or unconsciously building together.

That is where I work.

The Relationship Remains at the Centre

When I work with a couple, I do not approach the process as two separate people

competing to have their version proven correct.

The relationship is the client.

Both individuals matter deeply, and each person’s experience deserves to be understood.

The work remains centred, however, on what is happening between you and what the

relationship requires from each person.

I work with couples together and, when it supports the process, individually.

Individual sessions allow each person to explore what they carry, understand their own

patterns and strengthen the capacity needed to participate differently. That work then returns to the relationship through greater honesty, awareness, responsibility and action.

Together and individually—in service of the relationship.

An Integrated Approach

My approach brings together several dimensions of relational work.

Conscious participation

We explore how perception, meaning, identity, expectations and choice shape what each

person contributes to the relationship.

This includes recognizing inherited patterns, recovering agency and becoming more intentional

about the relationship you are creating.

Trauma-informed understanding

We consider how early experiences, difficult relationships, chronic stress, loss, betrayal,

occupational exposure and trauma may affect safety, trust, intimacy, regulation and the ability to

remain present with another person.

You do not need to identify as having trauma for this understanding to be relevant.

Relational responsibility

Context matters, but it does not remove accountability.

Each person remains responsible for their own choices, behaviour and impact.

Responsibility is not automatically equal, and relational work should never obscure harm

by distributing responsibility inaccurately.

Conscious evolution

The work is not limited to reducing conflict or restoring previous functioning.

It can also support couples in becoming more capable of living the relationship, family culture

and shared future they genuinely value.

How I Work

My style is direct, compassionate and engaged.

I listen carefully for what is being said, what is not yet being said and what the relationship

may be communicating through the patterns occurring between you.

I am not interested in assigning one person the role of the problem while the

other remains outside the work.

I am equally unwilling to create false equivalence where one person is responsible for a

significant injury, deception or breach of trust.

The work may involve slowing down what happens between you, identifying the pattern

beneath the conflict, understanding its origins and helping each person develop a

different way of participating.

At other times, it may require direct conversations about truth, responsibility, boundaries,

repair, consent, shared direction or whether both people are genuinely willing to continue.

My role is not to decide the future of your relationship for you.

My role is to help you approach it with greater clarity, capacity, honesty and consciousness.

The Wider Katalyst Body of Work

Katalyst Couples is one of three connected pathways.

Katalyst Trauma: Focused work related to

trauma, recovery, restoration and post-traumatic growth.

Katalyst Couples: Integrated relationship and

relational work centred on what exists between two people.

Katalyst Within: Conscious development, perception, agency, identity,

completion, living intelligence and how we participate in the lives we create.

The pathways are distinct, but intentionally connected.

Some couples may benefit from selected Katalyst Within resources between sessions.

Others may discover that focused trauma work is needed to support what the relationship is

currently holding.The purpose is not to move people unnecessarily between services. It is to recognize

when another dimension of the work may meaningfully support the relationship.

Experience and Ongoing Learning

My professional background includes decades of work with individuals, couples,

families, leaders and organizations.

Before entering this field fully, I worked within business, leadership and international

corporate environments, including periods of significant organizational change and merger.

That experience continues to inform my understanding of couples who carry demanding

professional roles, complex family responsibilities, substantial decisions and lives that may

appear highly successful while the relationship itself receives too little protected attention.

My work draws from extensive training across trauma-informed, relational, somatic

and integrative approaches, alongside continued study in neuroscience, human development,

health, consciousness and human potential.

I do not believe any single method contains the whole person or the whole relationship.

My responsibility is to understand the relationship in front of me and draw from what is relevant,

responsible and useful.

Who I Work Best With

I work best with couples who value the relationship enough to approach it honestly.

You do not need to have everything figured out.

You do need a willingness to participate, to examine what belongs to you and to consider

what the relationship may require beyond what either person initially hoped the other would change.

You may be here to:

  • build a new relationship consciously;

  • prepare for marriage or blended family life;

  • address rupture or betrayal;

  • understand recurring patterns;

  • restore trust or intimacy;

  • reconnect after years of responsibility;

  • navigate illness, loss or transition;

  • protect a meaningful partnership;

  • clarify what is possible from here;

  • create a shared life and legacy with greater intention.

A Relationship Worth Tending

People often invest carefully in their careers, health, homes, families and futures.

The relationship at the centre of that life deserves thoughtful attention too.

Not only when it is close to ending.

Not only when conflict becomes unmanageable.

But because it matters.
